At Hubbard Woods School math is a part of every day.  In each classroom kindergarten through 4th grade, students are problem solving, learning to develop their own number sense, building number and operation fluency, creating patterns and through it all using their logical thinking.  In addition to their classroom work every student spends time in Math Lab each week.

    During Math Lab students further explore their math understanding through projects, games, explorations and creative tools.  In keeping with a developmental approach to learning the activity in each grade is tailored to the development of that age group.  In working with small groups the work is differentiated to meet each student, how they are thinking in the particular area of math.
