- 1998/2000: Extensive renovation of Skokie School which was closed in 1978 due to declining enrollment district wide; 6th grade students returned to Skokie from Washburne in August, 1998 and 5th grade was moved to Skokie from the elementary schools for the 2000-01 school year.

Greeley School - Additions & Space-Adding Renovations:
- 1921: a second wing for the building to the southeast contained an assembly room and a new heating plant.
- 1954: new kindergarten and primary classrooms were added as well as overall modernization of the older areas of the building.
- 1968: most recent addition to the building including the current Library/Resource Center.
Hubbard Woods – Additions & Space-Adding Renovations:
(note: the original building consisted of the auditorium and four classrooms)
- 1921 - two classrooms and rooms for manual training and domestic science were added and served children in grades K-6. Also, the north wing,
consisting of the present entrance, four classrooms, an office, a teacher's room, and a kitchenette, was completed.
- 1925 - the west corridor with five classrooms and a kindergarten room was added. This section included a basement, combination shop, and
bicycle room, which children referred to as the "wheel house".
- 1930 - the south wing, including the gymnasium and the area beneath, three classrooms, rooms for science and crafts, was completed.
- 1991 - the former gymnasium was converted to a resource center/computer lab. A new gymnasium was added to the south side of the school.
- 1999 - the music room was built and several classrooms were renovated. Once again, the playground was completely refurbished during the
summer of 1999 (Room #24 expanded, Rooms #10 and #11 reconfigured, and a bay window was added to room #10).
Skokie School – Additions & Space-Adding Renovations:
- 1926 – a one story addition of four classrooms was added to the south of the main entrance.
- 1928 – Addition of two nursery school rooms in the south wing. Offices for The Department of Educational Counsel and the Research
Department were built at the same time.
- 1929 - Major additions were made to the west. Two gymnasiums, cafeteria and lunchrooms, print shop, wood shop, art shop, and
a garage for buses. Visual education room added and named after Kate Dwyer. Original gymnasium converted into library,
the library over the front hall was turned into a choral music room, the original first floor shops were turned into classrooms.
- 1954 – Another addition was added containing a library, science suite, reading room, visual education room, and rooms for student
activities. The original gym now library was turned into a two-story section with instrumental rehearsal room and dramatic art
workrooms on the first floor, and an art studio and four music studios on the second. The original science and art rooms
were converted into classrooms and the Kate Dwyer Room into an all-purpose activity room.
- 1963 – Additions of classrooms surrounding the north and south courtyard area. Increased facilities for library and science areas, added three
classrooms, the Learning Laboratory, a closed circuit TV setup, and room for the administration and business offices.
- 1998 - Extensive renovation of Skokie School which was closed in 1978 due to declining enrollment district wide; 6th grade students returned to
Skokie from Washburne in August, 1998.
- 2000 – Continued extensive renovation needed to bring all 5th grade students to Skokie School in August, 2000.
Crow Island School – Additions & Space-Adding Renovations:
- 1955 – southwest wing added that included 6 classrooms and wide corridor space.
- 1975 – lower level renovation created the current Library/Resource Center and freed up the former main-level Library
Space to be used as a Children’s Museum.
Washburne School – Additions & Space-Adding Renovations:
- 1982 – Addition of cafeteria, kitchen, & District 36 central offices.
